Winchester M1894 SRC Cal. .25-35 # 230104 Mfg. 1901. Metal generally smooth and gray with no rust or pitting, and some traces of blue. Mechanically fine, good bore, fine markings. Rear sight missing, retains the original saddle ring. The butt stock and forend exhibit brass tack and rawhide decoration, which we do not believe necessarily implies Indian usage. Forestock is fine while the buttstock shows considerable wear with slivers broken out along the tang on both sides, readily restorable. The gun is accompanied by its period heavy brown leather rifle scabbard with loops for attaching to the saddle. Overall showing some wear and use but excellent supple condition. Interesting gun with a lot of potential.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
