Winchester M1873 Rifle, #552061. Full octagon 24" barrel, caliber .44 W. C. F., standard rifle configuration, manufactured late 1900. All metal generally smooth and dark brown, just a few tiny patches of light pitting most notably at the muzzle. Excellent bore, excellent markings, mechanically perfect. Wood very good with just some minor scratches and one small worn area on the right side of the forestock, with an old coat of varnish. The magazine cap and screw, and dust cover latch and screw are correct period replacements. The nose cap screw is also replaced. A nice honest representative 1873 Winchester in a desirable caliber.
