    Very Rare Albumen Photograph of General Custer and Staff Taken at "Clover Hill" in Stevensburg Virginia. Measuring 7.75" x 5.75" on the original 9" x 7" mount, the image is clear and bright, the face slightly wrinkled. Custer is shown seated, surrounded by his staff, his personal flag waving at his right. The image was taken at the headquarters of the Michigan Cavalry Brigade at Stevensburg, Virginia, at the house known as "Clover Hill", probably in March of 1864. George A. Custer and his new wife Libbie spent their honeymoon there early in 1864. He named the house "Camp Libbie" in her honor. The reverse with three inscriptions, one in pencil, two in ball point pen.
