    Very Fine Untouched Etched Blade Leech & Rigdon Confederate Field & Staff Officer's Sword 31 3/8" slightly curved blade with unstopped fuller, smooth generally gray patina with a few darker spots. Etched for 2/3 its length on the obverse with nicely executed floral and scroll motifs with arms / flag panoply terminating in pointed projections, the reverse with floral scroll decorations centered with large old English "C.S", etching is clear with bright highlights. Hilt of classic form with deeply cast scroll and rose decorations, exhibits large "CS" centered on upper guard, plain pommel. Original leather grip with twisted brass wire excellent just showing minor wear. Leather scabbard with minor crazing, plain brass mounts with undisturbed patina. The mounts are attached by brass screws.
