    U.S. Model 1855 Springfield .58 Caliber Percussion Pistol Carbine Dated 1856 Both components in matching condition, the pistol numbered "10", no visible number on the stock yoke. Pistol iron cleaned bright with a few patches of scattered light pitting. Clear crisp barrel proofs with 1855 date, sharp bore. Lock with crisp "U.S. Springfield" / Eagle and 1856 date. Mechanically perfect, tape primer compartment contains a roll of original primer tape. All brass fittings are in excellent condition with remains of lacquered finish. Pistol stock exhibits some scattered bruises and a crack at the wrist. Detachable stock in identical condition with excellent brass fittings and wood displaying scattered minor dents.
