    U.S. Model 1808 .69 Caliber Smoothbore Flintlock Musket Marked "IY" Metal is mostly dark with areas of surface rust and pitting, mainly on the barrel. Lock marked with Eagle over US in oval ahead of the hammer and "IY" behind the hammer, functioning lock. Maker identified as John Young of Easton Pennsylvania. Touch hole rebushed in its working history. Wood is very good with dark patina just with a few scattered dents and small chips around the lock, visible inspector's cartouche. Replaced ramrod.
