    Description

Third Model Winchester M1866 .44 RF Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial # 24375. Gun completely untouched/ in the black. All metal generally smooth and dark with a few scattered patches of surface rust and a few dings near the rear sight. Rear sight leaf bent but intact. All brass very good with nice patina. The loading gate is a period replacement. Mechanically fine, good bore, nice markings. Wood very good with dark smooth patina. Shows some saddle wear on the underside of the buttstock and there is a very minor hairline on the right side of the wrist not affecting soundness. Also one tiny sliver on the left side of the forestock at the receiver. Overall a nice honest untouched example of this very desirable Winchester.
