    Summer Weight World War II US Army Officer's Hat that was Owned and Used by General Joseph W. "Vinegar Joe" Stilwell. The commander of the China/ Burma/ India Theater. Unquestionably period, with high gloss brown patent leather visor and chinstrap, original gilt brass eagle hat insignia of exquisite quality. Donated by Stilwell to an auction to help raise money for the Navy Relief Fund. Perfect condition and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
