    Six Spurs: Various Designs.
Nice group including a Colonial or Federal blued steel spur stamped "JA Wrought" behind the neck. Has a thin sharp rowel. The second spur is a box heel style matching ordnance manual description for US 1841 Dragoon spur. Thirdly an unusual private purchase spur being a spring loaded sheath over single point variety. The fourth spur is a private purchase buckle and stud spur with what looks to be the original leather and a large cent rowel. The rowel appears to be original to the spur. Note the copper stud. The fifth spur is a private purchase pin and screw heel spur. Couch dates this to the 1850's. The sixth spur is a tinned steel trouser spur. Has thin sharp rowel points. From the Bob Baird Collection
