    Scarce Contract US Model 1816/22 .69 Caliber Flintlock Musket, R. & J.D. Johnson 1831 All metal dark with patches of light pitting more pronounced at the breech, heavy pitting on the trigger guard. Professionally reconverted to flintlock configuration, mechanically perfect. Lockplate marked with American eagle motif with "U.S" above and "Johnson", in an arc, below. Behind the hammer "1831 Middn Conn". Barrel proofs not visible, replaced ramrod. Stock repaired under the lock / forearm and shows shrinkage at the butt with losses at the tang. Forward swivel not present.
