S/42 1937 Luger Pistol With 1937-Dated Holster, Extra Magazine, and Loading Tool. Cal. 9mm. Serial Number 2138. A solid all-matching pre-war Luger complete with two aluminum-base magazines- one unnumbered and stamped "fxo"; the other numbered (mis-matched to the pistol) and not maker marked. The bore is slightly worn and the finish displays moderate holster-wear to the high spots, with some thinning to the blue on the barrel. The grip strap is dark and a bit thin, otherwise it is a handsome example. The pistol is accompanied by a brown leather holster dated 1937 and maker-marked "R. Ehrhardt Poessneck" with a "WaA136" waffenamt. The holster displays modest wear with slight darkening to the leather on the flap, and one side of the loader tool pouch has come unstitched, otherwise it is in very good condition. The loading tool is marked "42". This is a well-matched Luger rig epitomizing pre-war manufacturing standards and quality.
