    Relics: Three Relics Related to New York, from the Collection of J. S. Reigart, including: a large piece of gnarled wood, 10" x 4" high, labeled, "The Old Stuyvesant Pear Tree. Cor. 13th St & 3rd Ave, New York City/ Fell February 27th 1867. Planted by Gov. Stuyvesant over 200 years ago. This piece taken from the tree after it had fallen. J. S. Reigart "; and, two fragments of granite sealed in a glass bottle with a handwritten note, "From the apex of Cleopatra's Needle, Central Park, New York City / Presented by the contractor who took it from apex while he was protecting it with some kind of oil. Oct. 1885. J.S.R."; and, a piece of wire, 3.25" long, with an attached printed card describing the construction aspects of the New York and Brooklyn Suspension Bridge, in the original box with a picture of the bridge on the box top, a not accompanies the wire stating, "First Wire Brooklyn Bridge, the first wire was run out on May 29, 1877".
