    Exceptional Quality 18th Century British Dbl Bbl F/L Holster Pistol. 14½" with side by side 8¾" round smoothbore barrels. Barrels retain 99% of what appears to be the original brown damascene finish. Gold touch holes, gold bands at the breech, marked "Tatham London" in gold on the barrel rib. Delicate locks with sliding safeties and decorative engraving, also signed "Tatham". All iron mountings, including trigger guard, butt cap, tang and rear ramrod finial, clean and bright and exhibiting superb, finely engraved, decoration including arms panoplies and scroll work, with pineapple finial on the trigger guard. Walnut stock with silver wrist escutcheon engraved with owner's initials, finely checkered grip. The stock is fitted with an aperture , which is also decoratively engraved, for attaching a shoulder stock, which does not accompany the gun. Original wooden ramrod with steel tip that encases a ball screw, with the bottom of the rod threaded to accept a cleaning jag. A truly elegant British pistol in superb condition.
