18th Century Silver Mounted British Three Barrel Tap Action F/L Pistol with Snap Bayonet. 8 7/8" overall with 3" .40 caliber smoothbore screw barrels cut with star pattern at the muzzle to facilitate removal. Barrels set in a cluster of two at the top and one on the bottom which mounts the 2½" snap bayonet. Barrels numbered 3, 4, and 5 with corresponding numbers at the breech. Frame engraved with arms panoplies and maker, "Jackson/ London". British proofs on the underside of the breech, snap bayonet with push button release and stowage secured by sliding trigger guard. Mechanically perfect, including sliding safety which is covered with engraving. Finely checkered wood grip perfect with grotesque mask silver buttcap with one tiny crack at the edge, very minor. Two stage tap action lever with the top two barrels discharging simultaneously. Much rarer than 2 or 4 barrel forms, this being a superb example with absolutely no repair of restoration.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
