    Description

Red Cross Lot #2 (Lot of 20) All posters printed for the American Red Cross. This lot features 20 posters all of which promote the humanitarian efforts of the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross distinguished itself in nearly every way during the Great War, from raising huge amounts of money for victims, sowing socks for the troops, making bandages and supplies, to receiving medals from the Government. Jane Jeffery, a nurse serving with the Red Cross, was severely injured during an air raid. She refused to leave her post and continued to aid hurt soldiers. For her efforts she was given a Distinguished Service Cross. This lot honors these fantastic and dedicated people. The lot includes; "Hold Up Your End!" 28"x20"; "Motherless, Fatherless, Starving" 27"x21"; "Dec. 16-23 Sign Up For The Christmas Roll Call!" 27"x 19"; "Red Cross Day August 25th" 20"x 14"; "Your Boy, Your Red Cross, And France" 21"x14"; "Is There A Red Cross Service Flag in Your Home?" 36"x55"; "Ten Million New Members by Christmas" 30"x20"; "Over The Top- Make This a Red Cross Christmas" 30"x20"; "We Belong 100% Strong" 24"x18" x2; "Answer the Red Cross Christmas Roll Call" 32"x 19"; "I Summon You to the Comradeship" 40"x 30"; "This Town is Your Home" 25"x 19"; Picture of a cross and a candle, 22"x20"; "Have Your Eyes Been Opened?" 23"x 19"; "Eight Million Patriotic Red Cross Workers" 21"x14"; What Are You Giving?" 22"x20"; "Facts About the Red Cross" 28"x 21" x2; "The Red Cross Needs You" 14"x 22". This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
