    Rare and Historic Framed Sepia Photographic Print of Colt Factory, c.1869, Signed by Prescott & White
    Sepia photograph probably commissioned by the Colt Company, intended for promotional purposes. A lithographic view of the Colt factory was later created, based on this photograph. Frame measures 19 5/8-inches x 15 1/2-inches.
    Image reproduced in R.L. Wilson, American Arms Collectors Percussion Colts and Their Rivals The Al Cali Collection, front endpaper (right) and page 64. The caption on page 64 notes:
    "Framed 1869 Colt factory print measures approx. 19-inches wide by 14 7/8-inches high, mounted on stiff paper, and signed by Prescott & White Phot., Hartford, Conn. Backing paper imprinted with text."
    A reproduction of this or an identical photograph also appears in R.L. Wilson, The Colt Heritage (1979) and in Colt An American Legend (1985), page 155.
