Presentation Grade M1850 Field & Staff Officer's Sword Presented to Col. Harley H. Sage, 179th Ohio Infantry. 39" overall, with a 32" slightly curved blade, marked on the obverse ricasso "Schuyler, Hartley and Graham, New York", the reverse, "W. Clauberg Solingen". The silver grip with plain panels alternating with those cast with deep leaf decoration. The grip exhibits a small dent on the upper edge.
The German silver scabbard is near perfect with just one minor shallow dent on the obverse, 4" below the middle mount.
