    U.S.S. Constitution: "Old Ironsides" Relic Cane. 35 1/2" tapered oak cane. It has an octagonal silver handle or knob engraved on the top with the owner's initials ("C.C.W"). The sides are engraved: "Presented by/ Lt. W. D. Newman/ U. S. Navy to/ Chas. C. Wescott/ 1834. Boston 1797/ Live Oak/ From the Frigate/ Constitution".3" brass tip. Excellent condition displaying just normal, light use. We can find one reference to Midshipman William Newman, Jr. serving on the ship as early as 1803.
