    Description

    US Model 1816 Harpers Ferry .69 Caliber Flintlock Musket. 44" round barrel with clear proofs, mostly smooth and brown with areas of light pitting in the nipple area. Reconverted back to flint configuration. Lock pitted at the pan, marked with Eagle and "Harpers Ferry" / "816" the "1" unreadable, functioning action. Fittings mostly smooth and brown with a few small spots of salt and peppering. Stock showing normal small dents and scratches, there is an open crack below the sideplate with a 1/2" X 1 1/4" area of loss partially filled with wood fill and an old brass bird inlay on the cheek. Complete with original ramrod. Nice example of desirable martial longarm. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
