    U.S. Model 1816 .69 Caliber Smoothbore Flintlock Musket, Harpers Ferry 1839. In untouched condition, metal is smooth and gray mixing with a dark patina and with areas of minor surface roughness. Mechanically perfect, excellent bore, deep markings. Lock stamped Eagle / US and "Harpers Ferry 1839", barrel tang dated 1840. Wood displays a deep undisturbed patina, scattered bruises and a tight crack at the the wrist. Complete and original in every respect and in original flintlock configuration.
