US M1812 Cavalry Saber by N. Starr. Flat, clipped point, blade excellent, generally smooth and dark with just a couple of small areas with very light pitting and no nicks. Deep crisp markings P / HHP / N. Starr. Hilt with deep dark patina overall. Generally smooth with one area of light to medium pitting on the backstrap near the pommel. The wood grip is perfect but devoid of the leather covering. Scabbard very good with just a few scattered dents and some small patches of light to medium pitting, but generally smooth and gray. Complete with original throat carrying rings etc. Nice example of this regulation US War of 1812 enlisted cavalry saber.
