Two Piece Interlocking Waist Belt Plate of the State Fencibles of Philadelphia on the Original White Buff Belt, Circa 1850. Buckle identical to Plate 359 in O'Donnell and Campbell. Perfect untouched/ uncleaned condition. The white buff belt uses both a leather and brass adjusting loop, along with an additional sliding leather loop. Belt in excellent supple condition, with aging and some minor darkening but generally excellent. There is a series of small holes on the back and one larger holed at the left side, obviously for attaching a piece of equipment such as a bayonet scabbard. Although the plates do occasionally surface it is very rare to find an example on the original belt.
