    Description

    Mahogany Casing for a Set of Percussion French/ Belgian Target/ Dueling Pistols C. 1840. 10½" x 17½" x 3" high. The locking mechanism has been removed from both the lid and the lower portion of the case. Wood overall about perfect with attractive flame grain and most of the original varnish. French style casing for a pair of pistols 14¾" overall with approximately. 8½" barrels. Green baize lining about perfect, with numerous compartments with ivory knobs, one knob missing. The case still contains a fine quality ebony cleaning rod and 9" long, including handle, ebony ramrod. Also another metal rod with wooden ball handle. Powder flask, fine, oilers, bullet mold which casts single cannelure .41 caliber conical bullet, many of which are included. Mold in mint condition. A very nice casing just needing a pair of pistols.
