Henry Deringer .45 Cal. Percussion Pocket Pistol C. 1858. 6" overall with deeply rifled 3" barrel including patent breech. Marked "Deringer/ Philadela" with P sunburst on top of the breech. Breech also with two silver bands. All metal smooth and dark, with scroll engraving on barrel tang, bolster and lock, which also includes Deringer's logo. Notch rear sight, German silver front sight. All German silver furniture also profusely scroll engraved. Stock showing some wear with a couple of minor dents but excellent with nice patina. Mechanically fine, excellent bore, crisp markings. There is a tiny old line crack on the left side at the lock bolt plate which was never repaired and has resulted in a slight misalignment of the barrel tang and forward section of the lock. The gun is overall completely untouched. Easily repaired by a competent restorer. A very nice example of Deringer's work.
