    Group of Reigart U. S. Naval Artifacts. 3 1/2" high 19th century bottle with cork top containing two wood fragments, one with pencil script notation "U. S. Frigate Brooklyn", along with a 1 3/4" X 4 3/4" folded ink script note, Original Frame Work of the U. S. Frigate "Brooklyn" taken out of the Brooklyn while on board, at Cob Dock Brooklyn Navy Yard on Monday July 22nd 1889. taken out by J. S. Reigart. The Brooklyn just gone out of commission J. S. R." A nicely turned 2 3/4" high oak spire, 1 3/16" diameter base, with ink script tag affixed to the bottom, "U. S. Frigate Vandalia 1884". A beautifully turned 4 1/4" high oak spire, with 1 1/2" diameter base to which is affixed an ink script tag "U. S. Frigate Brandywine Lafayette 1824". The Brandywine was a 44 gun Frigate which had the initial task of conveying Lafayette back to France in 1825. Nice grouping of U. S. Naval history.
