Parker Brothers VH Grade Side by Side Shotgun With Three Numbered Barrels. 12 gauge. Serial number 152811 (1910 manufacture). Vulcan steel barrel, including one matched 24" barrel and two matched 26" barrels. Tapered, slightly concave matte ribs. 1½" frame size. Double triggers. 12¾" LOP to the original Parker butt plate, 1 7/8" DAC, 3 1/8" DAH. Checkered American walnut stock with semi-pistol grip and matching splinter fore ends. Small silver escutcheon inlaid on lower edge of butt. Boxlock action, trigger guard and fore edge trim modestly engraved with zig-zag borders. Case colored action; barrels blued.

A handsome shotgun retaining about 50% of the original case color on the action. The blue on the barrels has thinned with some scattered spotting, small scratches and honest wear. The wood has aged to a uniform lovely dark finish. The action remains tight and the double triggers have crisp pulls. The bores are bright and shiny without apparent corrosion. The shotgun and barrels are sold with a fitted case of more recent manufacture. An very rare example of this venerable classic American shotgun.
