    Pair Dwight Eisenhower's General's Stars Given To BG Madelyn Parks by Mamie Eisenhower Pair 1" pin back WWII General's stars framed with mounted note dated September 18, 1975 which reads; "Dear General Parks - In going over some of General Eisenhower's insignia the other day I came across these stars he had worn. Thought you might like them as extras. I too was happy! Could be in Washington for your ceremony. Best of luck. Fondly (signed) Mamie Eisenhower". Included is a letter from General Park's niece stating that the stars and note were the property of Brigadier Madelyn N. Parks who was the personal nurse to Mrs Eisenhower.
    Mamie Eisenhower attended the promotion ceremony Sept 1975. Parks joined the Army in 1944 and after a long career became the Chief, Dept of Nursing, Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1973. Mamie Eisenhower moved to an apartment in Washington DC in the late 1970's where she became acquainted with General Parks.
