    Near Mint .54 Cal. Burnside Civil War Percussion Breech-Loading Carbine. Gun retains 100% of the original blue and brilliant case colors. Just a few very minor spots of light surface rust on the forward section of the barrel, negligible. Deep crisp markings serial #18162. Bears markings of Burnside Patent/ Model of 1864 at breech and Cast Steel 1864 on barrel. Mechanically perfect, mint bore, even retaining the original wooden tompion. Wood also about mint with deep, crisp inspectors' cartouches, just some very minor scattered dents.
