    Model 1833 Ames Foot Artillery Sword With White Buff Leather Cross Belt All original untouched artillery rig. Sword blade is smooth and bright with a few dark patches, correct Ames/Springfield markings and date 1835. Hilt very good with undisturbed deep patina. The brass-mounted scabbard is very good with crazing to the finish but no flaking. Brass drag with deep patina and a few small dents at the tip. Retains its original white buff leather frog, cross belt, and brass plate. Leather is soft and pliable, showing a few stains but no damage. Brass cross belt plate with nice undisturbed patina, exhibits the number "11" held fast to the plate with original leather tabs. Fine example of this classic American sword. and especially nice with the original white buff leather belt.
