    Description

    Medium Size Henry Deringer Percussion Pocket Pistol C. 1855. 8" overall with 4" deeply rifled .48 caliber barrel. All metal smooth and clean. Lock, hammer and tang all profusely scroll engraved. Bears Deringer markings on lock, and at breech, with sunburst P proof. All mountings, including nose cap, buttcap strip, wrist escutcheon, scroll sideplate, wedge escutcheons, inlay beneath bolster and pineapple finial trigger guard are of German silver and profusely scroll engraved. Checkered walnut bird's head grip excellent with nice patina just showing some minor wear and one deep scratch between the tip of the ramrod pipe and the trigger guard finial, minor. The ramrod is probably an old replacement. Desirable form and very fine condition.
