A truly unique and stunning pair of pistols.

Magnificent Pair of 18th Century All Metal Ram's Horn Butt Scottish F/L Belt Pistols Possibly the finest pair we've ever handled, exhibiting several details we have not previously encountered. Superb overall condition, near mint. 12" overall with 7¾" .55 caliber smoothbore round barrels that are deeply fluted for 2½" at the breech and slightly flared at the muzzles. Barrels, forestocks, and right side of buttstocks covered with profuse scroll engraving. The stocks are fabricated of a brass alloy that is silver plated, with the guns retaining 50% of the original silver. Signed on top of the barrels "MacLeod, Edinburgh". Classic ram's horn butts with vent picks. Hammer faces engraved, with the elaborate cocking spur composed of a scroll and a disc pierced with a five pointed star. 3¾" steel belthooks with gadrooned decoration. Mechanically perfect with absolutely no repair or restoration.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
