    LOCK OF ROBERT E. LEE'S HAIR, WITH GREAT PERIOD PROVENANCE.

    Attached by wax seal to old paper fragment with period writing, "Hair from the head of R.E. Lee, taken from his head after he died.  C.R.A."  Accompanied by an 1899 letter from L. Guggenhein of Murfreeboro, Tenn., advising a friend that he is shipping him a box of war relics including "some hair of General Lee taken after his death," along with "several nice relics."  Beautifully matted and custom-framed with two portraits of Lee.  15 x 20".  Very desirable in this form.   Please note: Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
