    Japanese Edo Period Parade Armor
    Comprising: Iron 8 plate brown lacquered chest and back armor with gilded collar and underarm elements, 6 plate brown lacquer shoulder lames with gilded bottom plate. 7 sets of waist lames each consisting of 5 brown lacquered iron plates the bottom being gilded. 2 shoulder defense lames each consisting of 6 brown lacquered plates the bottom being gilded. Pair of arm defenses cloth backed with , attached chain mail and iron plates. Pair of knee defenses each consisting of 32 overlapping gilded iron plates - one missing. Pair of shin guards, cloth backed leather with thin gilded iron plates. Chin guard with 4 plate neck lame in brown lacquer. 11 plate helmet with brown lacquer body, gilt lacquer visor, leather covered wings, 3 neck plates interior with old cloth liner. Most components appear to be matching in design.
    Condition: All elements show lacquer damage and wear, the heaviest being on the chest and back plates. Laces also show wear with a number being broken. Some of the smaller arm plates are loose. Helmet crest is a reproduction.
