Winchester M1873 Rifle #409711, Mfg. 1892. 24" octagonal barrel, caliber .32-20. All metal generally smooth and light gray with just one small spot of pitting on the magazine tube, some very light, really negligible, light pitting on the lever, and some salt and peppering on the right frame plate. Mechanically fine, excellent markings, good bore. The dust cover is missing and there was an old, poorly executed attempt to repair the magazine dovetail that should be properly restored. The tang screw is a correct original replacement. Wood overall excellent. Appears to be untouched with smooth dark patina. There is a hairline with no loss on the left side of the forestock near the top, minor. Another good representative M1873 Winchester.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
