    Description

    Very Nice 3rd Model Winchester M1866 Caliber .44 Rimfire Saddle Ring Carbine, #79763, Manufactured 1871. The serial number is suffixed by a small letter P. Metal generally smooth and dark gray, just some salt and peppering on the lever and a few very minor scattered light dings. Brass with nice patina, overall sharp and crisp. Mechanically perfect, fine markings, excellent bore. Complete and original in every respect including the original correct three piece brass tipped cleaning rod in the butt aperture. Wood especially appealing with deep rich smooth patina, just some scattered light dents and two really negligible short hairlines at the tip of the forestock. A very attractive example of this classic and extremely desirable Winchester in very nice condition.
