Description
U.S. Model 1876 Campaign Hat. Black fur felt with black satin cap ribbon and two rows of stitching along the outside edge of the brim. No vent holes present. This example sports lemon yellow cap cords. Russet brown leather sweatband is marked "REGULATION/ U. S. Army Hat" and size 7 1/8. Right half of sweatband has come unstitched from the hat, otherwise it is in excellent condition.From the estate of Houston collector Brent Burg.
