    Description

    U.S. Joslyn .50 Caliber Breech-Loading Rifle Produced at the Springfield Armory January to June 1865. Matching number breech block and tang, 1346, caliber 50-60-450 Joslyn Rimfire. Clear B.F. Josyln markings on the face of the breech block, mechanically excellent. Metal is gray with areas of dark staining, dark bore. Wood is broken and repaired at the wrist, remainder of the wood very good with scattered dents. A scarce rifle, initially produced in very limited quantity with over half of the original production converted to .50-70 and shipped to Europe.
