    Two American National Guard Shakos. Early 20th century 5th Regiment Maryland National Guard shako, pressed felt very good slightly pushed on the reverse, brass edge leather visor crazed, chin strap crazed and broken. Black enameled cloth sweatband very good, black cotton bag head liner. Complete with red wool pom pom. 1870's-1880's blue felt shako with one moth hole on the back,hunting horn side buttons, Mass Vol Militia front plate partially loose, front and back with interwoven silver cords, blue and white wool pom pom.
