Description
Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 Serial #18941. .44 Cal., 6½" barrel. Gun retains 95% of the original nickel finish, just some wear/ staining on the cylinder and a few scratches on the frame. Mechanically perfect, very good bore, very good markings. Fitted with a set of period ivory grips that have clearly been with the gun since the period of use. Fine condition, just some minor wear with rich mellow age patina. Fine example of this famed SA Smith, favored by Annie Oakley, and, ironically Bob Ford to kill Jesse James.Auction Info
