    Description

    Rare U.S. Mint Department of the Missouri Revolver Shooting Award. The medal is 38-mm; 61-mm to the top of the suspension. 1.58 ounces. Obverse features a cavalryman wearing a Model 1881 helmet, revolver in hand, atop a leaping horse attacking an Indian armed with a bow and arrow. The caption reads: "REVOLVER MATCH SECOND CLASS PRIZE". The reverse features a border of oak leaves surrounding the engraved inscription: "DEPARTMENT / OF THE MISSOURI / WON BY / Sergt. Jacob Marback / Troop "B". 5th Cav. / August 1891". Suspension pendant features two crossed revolvers on the obverse. Julian MK 28.
