Presentation Grade Silver Grip Staff and Field Officer's Sword of F. W. Tittle, ca. 1880s.
Nicely diamond-shaped etched blade By M. C. Lilley & Company, Columbus, Ohio, with etched stand of flags & foliate patterns. Name etched on blade "F. W. Tittle" then gilded on two thirds of blade. Very elaborate gold brass guard, with large eagle on one side, and cannons & rifles on the other, also gilded pommel cap. Nickel-plated scabbard is mounted with decorated ring mounts and drag, which is also gilded grip silvered and twisted wire wrap 100 percent. Great presentation sword. Blade is 9/16" wide.

Condition: Blade has minimal staining, scabbard shows very minor erosion.
