Lot of Three Cartridge Boxes and Unidentified Leather Bag. Includes: 1) Josia B. King improved cartridge box with Shuyler, Hartley & Graham stamp. The box measures 8" x 4 ½" and bears an 1870 patent date. The inside of the box has leather loops for 20 rounds; another row of ten more leather loops mounted to the front of the box just under the flap, for a total of 30 rounds. This example appears unused and, other than storage wear is in excellent condition. 2) Pistol cartridge box, measuring approximately 6" x 3 ½" overall. No maker's markings present. Wide leather belt loop in the reverse. Very good condition. 3) Cartridge box measuring approximately 7" x 4". Lacking buckles and with added slits on the back for belt mounting. Good condition. 4) Brown leather box, approximately 10" x 3" x 9", made by George D. Lamb, New York. The purpose of this small satchel is unknown. Lacking one of the closure straps, otherwise fair condition.
