Group of 3 American 1870's-1880's National Guard Shakos 1. Black pressed felt body in excellent condition with very good condition leather parts some showing minor crazing, excellent leather sweatband. Brass 17th National Guard front plate, infantry side buttons. 2. Similar shako with brass 17 decorative front plate, brass horn side buttons, leather partially detached sweatband with minor damage and J.H. McKenney & Co Military Goods 141 Grand Street New York crown label. 3. Similar shako with leather visor edging gone, brass 8th Mass Vol Militia front plate, Massachusetts state seal side buttons. Interior with partially detached leather sweatband, W. Stokes Kirk Government Goods Philadelphia label in the crown.
