    Geronimo & Natches on Horse Back, C. S. Fly, Tombstone, Arizona Territory, Cabinet Card ca 1886. Geronimo (1829-1909) was a prominent Native American leader of the Chiricahua Apache who warred against encroachment of the United States on tribal lands and people for over 25 years. This imperial size image of Geronimo and Natches seated on horseback, with two scouts, both with cartridge belts, one holding baby, the other holding Natches horse (Geronimo's son), pose for the famous photographer C. S. Fly.

    This great Image has the purple copyright stamp of C. S. Fly, Tombstone Arizona, bottom right corner. Also on verso the paper tag "Scene in Geronimo's camp, the Apache outlaw and murderer" also has the card No. 171, Geronimo and Natches mounted, Natches with hat on; son of Geronimo standing by his side. Measures approx 8.50" x 5.50".
