General Thomas' Manuscript "A Day at Spotted Agency" ca 1870s. General H. G. Thomas' 20 page manuscript notes, June 5, 1877, completely written by the General for an article in the "New York Tribune" newspaper. Excellent content regarding Sitting Bull, Crazy horse and Spotted tail being in the public spotlight as often as politicians, "No one knows where Sitting Bull is - has just visited the homes of Crazy horse and Spotted Tail and wants to describe them in everyday life among their followers and friends" Claims Indian agents make a fortune in two years, Gen. MacKenzie marching to Fort sill and describes a thousand Cheyenne Indians being removed from Red Cloud to Indian Territory. Also describes Crazy Horse as the "Stonewall Jackson of the Indian nation". An excellent first hand account of the time.

Condition: Very good-fine, some small chipping to documents
