As follows: (1) Model 1874 Infantry Haversack, canvas with Chambers buckles for use with the Palmer Infantry Brace system with crossed rifles stencil and re-stencil U.S. (2) Canvas covered canteen with leather shoulder strap. (3 & 4) Two Model 1885 brass hooked leather strapped saber hangers. (5) A pair of leather saber straps. (6) Model 1874 waist belt with brass U.S. buckle. (7) U.S. Army brown duck hood with red wool lining, interior stamped "Property Of Western Costume Los Angeles. (8) 1883 U.S. Army discharge issued to Trumpeter Smith F Foster, Troop L 8th Cavalry, after five years service. The 8th Cavalry fought the Apaches during Fosters service time. All items are in very good to excellent condition showing normal use.
