Description

Civil War Model 1858 Forage Cap. Sometimes called a "bummer's" cap, this one has the insignia on top "C/crossed sabers/1". This cap was manufactured by Thomson, Goodrich & Co. of Cincinnati as part of an 1864 contract. The chin strap is intact across the visor. In sum, it is intact and in remarkably good condition.
