Circa 1880 Cavalry Officer's Baldric and Cartridge Box. Nicely marked on the face of the box under the flap, "Henry V. Allien & Co./ New York". 2¼" wide heavy black leather baldric with some areas of wear along the edges, that could be readily "neatened up," but very overall good sound condition. Heavy brass buckle, adjusting loop and tip all perfect. The brass bound cartridge box about perfect with original large brass crossed sabers and company letter A on the front flap, just missing the latch tab. Nice example of this scarce Indian War cavalry officer's piece of dress equipment.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
