    2 Indian Wars Era Officer's Campaign hats The first is black felt with small holes in the crown on one side and a few on the brim, unsewn edge. Sewn on the front is an officer's bullion 7th infantry hat badge. No sweat band. The second is black and shows wear on the crown with interior reinforcements, unsewn edge, worn officer's gold and black hat cord. Front exhibits a bullion gold wreath with silver US sewn-on insignia, the side a later red felt Maltese cross. Interior has a partially detached 2" wide leather sweatband.
