    Indian Wars: Veteran's Membership Certificate [7th Cavalry]. Framed 18.5"x 16" certificate in the "Order of Indian Wars of the United States". Issued on April 14, 1916 to Col. Edwin P. Brewer "in recognition of the fact that he served in campaigns against Sioux and Nez Perce Indians, 1877. Cheyennes, 1878, and Sioux in 1891." Signed by "E. S. Godfrey Brig. Genl. USA Retired" and "Charles C. Walcutt", Recorder. Edwin Parker Brewer (1854-1932) attended West Point in 1871 and appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the 7th Cavalry, but did not participate at Little Big Horn. He fought in several battles, including Wounded Knee. He served in the military for thirty-seven years.
